Privacy policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
This policy covers the Nirapod COD website and mobile app, operated by IT Global LLC. It explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
What we collect
- Your phone number
- This is your identity here. We use it to sign you in, to send one-time codes, and to notify you about your orders and claims.
- Your name and address
- Needed so a courier can deliver to you. A buyer address is shared with the seller of that order and the courier carrying it, and with nobody else.
- Order and payment records
- What was ordered, what it cost, and every movement of money in your wallet. We are legally and practically required to keep an accurate financial record.
- Photos and videos you upload as claim evidence
- Only when you choose to attach them to a claim. These are visible to the other party in that dispute and to the staff member deciding it. They are stored privately and are never public.
- Identity documents, if you upload them
- NID or trade licence details are optional. They are used only to verify a seller is real, and are never shown to buyers — only a verified badge is.
- Device information
- If you allow notifications in the mobile app, we store a push token for your device so we can alert you about your own orders.
App permissions
The mobile app asks for these, and only for these:
- Camera — to photograph a parcel or damaged item as claim evidence. Used only when you tap to take a photo.
- Photos and media — to attach an existing photo or video to a claim.
- Notifications — to tell you when an order is delivered, a claim is answered, or money moves in your wallet.
The app does not use your microphone, your location, or your contacts. It does not read your SMS messages — you type your login code in yourself.
What we never do
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
- We never see or store your bKash, Nagad or card PIN. Payments happen on the payment provider's own page.
- We do not show your full phone number to strangers. Someone who has only your order code sees a masked number.
- We do not post anything on your behalf.
Who else sees your information
- The other party in your order — a seller sees the delivery details they need to send your parcel; a buyer sees who they are dealing with and that seller's trust record.
- The courier — receives the name, number and address needed to deliver.
- The payment provider — receives the amount and a reference when you add money.
- Our staff — only when deciding a claim you or your counterparty raised. Every such action is recorded against the staff member who took it.
- Authorities — if we are required by law to produce records, for example in a fraud investigation.
How long we keep it
Financial records — orders, wallet movements and claim outcomes — are kept for at least six years, because they are the evidence of who was owed what. Claim evidence photos are kept for two years after the claim closes. If you close your account we remove your profile, but these records remain, with your name replaced by an account reference.
Your choices
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
- You can turn off notifications in your phone settings at any time; the app keeps working.
- You can ask us to close your account. Open orders and claims must be settled first, otherwise someone else loses money.
Security
The site and app are served only over encrypted HTTPS. Passwords and one-time codes are stored hashed, never in readable form. Your login token is kept in your phone's secure keystore. Claim evidence is stored on private storage and served only to people entitled to see it.
Children
This service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
